The Whirlpool Galaxy, also known as M51, has long been a subject of fascination for amateur astronomers. The JWST observation of M51 is part of a series of observations known as Feedback in Emerging extrAgalactic Star clusTers (FEAST). These observations aim to shed light on the interplay between stellar feedback and star formation in environments beyond our own galaxy. Understanding stellar feedback is essential for building accurate models of star formation and is crucial for our understanding of the universe.
